Get Involved

Getting involved is a vital part of church life — it’s where faith becomes active, relationships grow deeper, and each of us plays a part in what God is doing in our community. We believe that everyone has been uniquely gifted and called, and the church flourishes when we each bring what we have to serve others. Whether you’re exploring faith or have been part of church for many years, there is a place for you here.

There are many ways to get involved at Emmanuel Church Bicester. You might enjoy welcoming others as part of the hospitality team, helping lead worship, supporting the preaching ministry, or serving behind the scenes with our tech or social media teams. You could also get involved in practical outreach, such as supporting the foodbank or other community initiatives. Whatever your skills, passions, or availability, there are opportunities to serve, grow, and make a difference.

Being involved isn’t just about filling a role — it’s about belonging, discovering your purpose, and joining in with what God is doing both in the church and beyond. If you’d like to find out more, we would love to help you take that next step.

HospT

Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 1 PETER 4:9

Has God blessed you with a gift for making people feel welcome? Do you have barista skills? If you’d like to volunteer as part of our hospitality team, we would love to hear from you. Our purpose is to ensure everyone feels welcome and to bring joy to their day through a smile, a kind word, or a drink. Each week, team members take turns leading hospitality, which includes preparing refreshments, welcoming people at the door, serving tea and coffee, and clearing up after the service.

2 TIMOTHY 4:2

Do you have a suggestion or idea to share about sermons? Would you like to preach or learn to do so? The purpose of this ministry is to teach the Word of God in a truthful and honouring way, enabling the congregation at ECB to hear from the Lord through the Holy Spirit and be encouraged to live lives that reflect Jesus to those around them. If you have any questions about today’s sermon, please feel free to speak with the speaker after the service.
