Who We Are

Emmanuel Church started in December 2002 and was originally a church planted from St. Aldate's and St. Ebbe's in Oxford. We are part of the Church of England and the Parish Church of St. Edburg's in Bicester graciously welcomed us within its Parish.

Emmanuel Church is what is known as a 'Fresh Expressions' Church. Basically that means we are allowed to be different from traditional church. When we started we met to worship in Bure Park School. In December 2012 we moved into our building, we have grown from an initial congregation of 25 people to around 350 including 150 children and young people.

We are a charismatic, evangelical, Anglican church. Together we are learning to focus on God in our daily lives, are aiming to be a focal point in our community and are supporting those serving those in need both locally and in other countries.
